What to Expect on Your Manta Ray Kona Night Snorkel

A manta ray Kona night snorkel follows a simple, well-paced structure so you know exactly what’s coming:

  1. Check-in (45 minutes before sunset): Arrive at Honokohau Harbor, slip G-8. Complete your waiver and get fitted for a wetsuit.
  2. Safety briefing & short boat ride: Our crew walks you through the light-board technique before a quick ride to the viewing site.
  3. In the water (30–40 minutes): You’ll hold onto a lit floating board as manta rays feed on plankton just beneath you.
  4. Return to harbor: Warm up with hot cocoa on the ride back.
